POSITION OVERVIEW

Manages and oversees all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Possesses strong knowledge of technology. Creates a strong relationship with the customer to maintain customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project/Practice Management

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Reviews and assist with creating BA artifacts.
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Creates deployment plans and facilitates planned and Maintenance releases during deployments.
  • Manages projects from pre-conception through Hypercare.
  • Works with Customer to build a Project Roadmap which comprises of Revenue and non-revenue generating initiatives.
  • Facilitates Retrospectives post releases to ensure Lessons Learned are applied to the very next release.

Project Accounting

  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Produces weekly project status and progress reports that capture all project matrices needed for C-Level reporting.
  • Manages project budget.
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
  • Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Leadership

  • Works in conjunction with leadership to ensure projects are in scope and in compliance.
  • Manages BAs and ensures that they are meeting company and site KPIs.
  • May provide support and coaching to emerging managers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 years of experience in related field or area
  • Certification in Project Management strongly desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Financial Management

  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Understands company pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Ability to prepare budgets and cost estimates.
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.

Business Development

  • Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  • Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Ability to analyze problems quickly and accurately, adopting effective courses of action.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

Technical Understanding

  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application or client engagements.
