Role Mission Under the guidance of the Shop Manager, the Repair Coordinator oversees, coordinates, and prioritizes all service work performed in shop departments, including rewind, mechanical, machine, and mechanical field service. They will be the point of contact to support customers when necessary.
Key Job Responsibilities
Schedule and prioritize workflow between departments including rush jobs and routine repairs.
Gather incoming job information, photos, and enter into NetSuite to create the RMA and case.
E-mail customer with receipt of asset with picture.
Source parts, drawings, enter parts orders, and expedite as needed.
Provide repair replacement when needed.
Coordinate all interdepartmental work toward job completion within quotes.
Log incoming jobs and maintain status of each
Manage walk-in traffic for shop location.
Fill out service reports and ensure cause of failure has been described
Adhere to all customer guidelines and pricing accordingly
Collect all necessary information including nameplate information and take digital pictures of incoming jobs.
Assist and advise shop supervisoras needed in repair and/or replacement work.
Produce technical drawings and/or illustrations as necessary.
Answer phone calls, follow up on customer experience and log feedback
Some shipping and receiving duties
Participate in sales and shop meetings as necessary
Complete job costing, and invoice once the POD has been returned to Kurz.
Learn key Shop Supervisor responsibilities to assist in their absence.
Competencies
High School Diploma is required. Associates degree in related field is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Previous experience in an industrial, electro-mechanical, distribution or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
Must have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment – Organization, Multi-tasking, and prioritizing
